Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.I Corinthians 1:12 (for context read 11-13)

Many years ago, when we lived in Loo-zee-ana, we were shopping at Schwegmann’s grocery and I was looking in the meat cases and I saw a nice flounder but the sign above it said, “Rabbit ‘X’ $$$ per pound”.

I called the butcher over and said, “I’ve never seen a rabbit with scales . . .” and he snarked back, “Rabbit ain’t got scales stupid!”

I pointed at the sign and then at the flounder. Didn’t have to say a word . . .

This will be short; God does not believe in labels and it has been said that the first thing to drop off at either our death or the Rapture is our denominational identity. And it was this very thing that Paul was addressing in the verse above.

It is more important to be saved than to be a Pentecostal, Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist, or an Independent. Remember, only 1 question in Heaven; is their name in the Lamb’s Book of Life?
